In this workshop we will review best practices as recommended by the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES). In addition, you will learn specific models and techniques to help you improve your supervision sessions
with your supervisees.

This course meets criteria for 3 hours of ethics or supervision continuing education by the Oklahoma Board of Behavioral Health for Oklahoma LPC and LMFT license holders, by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers (provider #20230088) for Oklahoma LCSW license holders, by the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselors (certificate #20230018) for LADC and CADC license holders (3 hours ethics or supervision CEUs), and for Oklahoma case managers (3 hours ethics CEUs).

Micah Perkins M.S., L.P.C, L.A.D.C.

Micah Perkins M.S., L.P.C, L.A.D.C. completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Behavioral Sciences both from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. He is a recognized Certified Reality Therapist from the William Glasser Institute and has completed Advanced Training in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York. He is a SMART Recovery facilitator, leading the longest running SMART Recovery meeting in Edmond, Oklahoma. His experience includes working with children and teens in therapeutic foster care and in acute and residential treatment programs. In addition, he has worked with adults in a community mental health center and in his own private practice. In 2014, he founded Edmond Counseling and Professional Development, LLC, whose mission is to provide evidence-based counseling to children, teens, and adults, training to mental health professionals, and wellness training to organizations.
