Kansas LPC and LCPC CEUs

Kansas LPC and LCPCs are expected to take 30 hours of continuing education each 24 months for license renewal. The state of Kansas, like Oklahoma and Texas, require that three CE credits are in ethics. The Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board does not approve continuing education programs or education courses in advance. Kansas Professional Counselors have individual responsibility to determine if CE hours provided by the education provider are relevant to their professional development and meet renewal requirements for his or her licensure.

Kansas Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors may gain continuing education hours through online courses through distance education including post testing, or distance education with no post testing (up to five hours). The Oklahoma Counseling Institute's on demand CEU courses include post testing, while our live webinars do not include post testing.

The above is provided for information purposes only. Kansas LPC and LCPCs are encouraged to review their current CEU education requirements before seeking continuing education credit from the Oklahoma Counseling Institute.
