Hooria Suhaib , LPC

I have been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma City since 2015 after graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma, MA Counseling Psychology program in 2015. As a Muslim Pakistani immigrant female therapist in OKC I have had the opportunity to step into multiple roles across diverse platforms within a diverse community. The range of my work has spread across professional mental health support, project management, non-profit leadership, career counseling as well as creating awareness on social and emotional issues faced by Muslim and South Asian Immigrants in USA.

Since 2021 with the influx of Afghan refugees in OKC I had the opportunity to be involved with the refugee resettlement agencies in OKC. This lead to my latest role as the community mental health advocate for Afghan women and families from 2021 till July 2025 after acquiring training from Harvard Program for Refugee Trauma. I have also build my own private practice along the way, focusing on Trauma and Chronic Pain Disorder. I hope to continue building my private practice and being involved within my community to create awareness and serve as a licensed mental health professional.
