Live Webinar: Opening the Bentwood Box: Mapping History, Trauma, & Healing with Native American Clients
3 General CEs
(3 Hours NBCC CEs)
Saturday November 8th, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM on Zoom
Clinical cultural competence is enhanced by understanding the history of the person being served. The often unspoken history impacts the well being of the individual. When it is out of the clinician's awareness, it can be the elephant in the room. It can be a pivotal point in the client's healing journey to examine external forces impacting their health. Join Dr. Iva GreyWolf as she explores how history and generational trauma may affect the wellbeing of Native clients and how clinicians can build cultural competence, as well as promote resilience and healing with clients.
Objectives Include:
-Participants will learn strategies to continue to build cultural competence
-Participants will be able to name two policies impacting Native people they were not aware of previously.
