Working with affairs is a common, yet delicate issue for a couple's therapist. Dealing with feelings of betrayal, the erosion of trust, and increased volatility require a unique skill set beyond working with a regular couple. In this workshop, we'll explore a step by step process to help couples recover from infidelity. Not only will we learn how to process the affair and make amends, we will also explore the underlying relational issues that may have created the environment in which the affair arose. You will learn how to take this challenge, which could ordinarily terminate a relationship, and use it as an opportunity to make the relationship stronger than it ever was
Objectives Include:
-To understand the origin of affairs.
-To learn a step by step process to use with couples to recover from infidelity.
-To understand how to rebuild trust.
