During the Oklahoma Board of Behavioral Health licensure board meeting on November 13,2020 Executive Director Eric Ashmore informed the board that the agency should have the capacity to accept licensure renewals online by May 2021. The OBBH, along with other state agencies, are

contracting with Thentia, a Canadian technology company. According to Mr. Ashmore, Thentia has experience working with several state's licensure boards in providing online data management.

The new system will allow Oklahoma LPCs, LMFTs, and LBPs to report their continuing education (CEUs) online and renew their licensure. In addition, licensure candidates will have the ability to submit their supervision hours online for approval from the board. Mr. Ashmore informed the board that funds have been approved by the state and a project manager from Thentia has started working with OBBH. It is Mr. Ashmore's hopes that the system will be ready for online licensure renewal by May 2021 and may be ready as early as February 2021.
