Red Rock Selected by ODMHSAS to Serve Cleveland and McClain Counties

On November 9, 2023 The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services announced that Red Rock Red Rock Behavioral Health has been designated as the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), for Cleveland and McClain Counties.

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, often known as CCBHCs, represent a new category of providers now available through Medicaid in the state of Oklahoma. These CCBHCs are replacing the Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) model.

CCBHCs present a valuable opportunity for states to enhance the behavioral health of their residents by delivering community-based mental health and substance use disorder services, promoting the integration of behavioral health with physical health care, consistently implementing evidence-based practices, and ensuring improved access to high-quality care. Care coordination plays a pivotal role in unifying these aspects of CCBHC care, ultimately ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and achieving improved outcomes.

In recognition of their expanded services, CCBHCs receive an elevated Medicaid reimbursement rate, tailored to cover the costs incurred in delivering services.

The Oklahoma Counseling Institute reached out to Red Rock's Chief Executive Officer, Verna Foust who stated that Red Rock currently has two Norman locations- an outpatient office located at 900 North Porter and a Crisis Unit located at 900 East Main Street, Building 5. She explained that those  locations will likely change in the upcoming year as Red Rock expands it's services.
