Northcare Expands Services to Edmond
Last month, Northcare was proud to announce the opening of its newest facility. The non-profit mental health organization aims to fill the gap in mental healthcare resources in Edmond by expanding both its crisis and outpatient services over the next year. Nestled at the corner of 9th and Bryant, the outpatient clinic is ready to serve the community by providing mental health counseling, as well as case management and medication management services.
The clinic is home to multiple office and school-based mental health clinicians. While some offices are furnished with cozy couches and chairs for family and couples’ therapy sessions, others are lined with shelves of toys, games, and coloring books for engaging play therapy hours for children. The staff are also prepared to refer clients to addiction and recovery programs, pharmaceutical services, and other supportive resources provided by Northcare.
Northcare Edmond is open weekdays to serve adults, adolescents, and children for individual and family counseling. The opening of the outpatient facility will soon be followed by the launch of a new mental health urgent care at 15th and Kelly in Edmond. Clinical Director Ashley Tohlen, LPC, and the entire Northcare team are delighted to be settled in the heart of the city to serve and grow alongside the community.
